Shooting The Past Shorts Streaming on BBC iPlayer

From 13th June 2025, two shorts written and directed by Stephen Poliakoff, created as companion pieces to his acclaimed 1999 drama series Shooting The Past, will be available to stream on BBC iPlayer alongside the full original series. Spig’s Story starring Emilia Fox, and Veronica’s Story starring Billie Whitelaw, tell dramatic stories from behind the characters’ favourite images in the photographic collection. One story is true, while the other is a work of fiction, inviting the audience to engage in an intriguing guessing game to decipher which one is which.
